The City of Alamo is Restoring Parks

The city of Alamo is partnering with Alamo EDC to rehabilitate Alamo parks!

Alamo EDC recently agreed to rehabilitate the baseball fields in Alamo. Initially, the city of Alamo approved over forty-thousand dollars in funding for three baseball fields. The amount has since grown! Since that initial proposal:

  • Alamo EDC partnered with the city of Alamo,
  • Alamo EDC is committed to assisting in rehabilitating these fields.
  • The project was moved to renovate six baseball fields as the Alamo Sports Complex and Alaniz & Villagomez parks.

With the city of Alamo’s help, the goal is to improve every Alamo resident’s lives, to make the fields tournament ready, and increase youth sports at all Alamo parks.

Tourism

Local business owners invest in their city and can receive growth as well with tourism during seasonal months. With new developments and businesses opening, you can expect more food traffic for the business. Here are some tourist must-do’s within Alamo.

● Railyard Icehouse 83 is a large bar and venue that features music.

● Mercadome Flea Market & Alamo Dance Hall is one of the biggest ‘pulgas’ in the Rio Grande Valley and offers excellent deals for Alamo residents.

● The Landmark on Tower attracts hundreds of people weekly and features theme foods like their Waffle bar, Super Tacotote, and ‘Tots with That.’

● Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge consists of over two thousand acres of native species to South Texas and an indescribable view from any part of the trails

Improved Cost of Living

Small towns constantly face challenges, such as the declinations of rural populations to more populated cities. Still, the town of Alamo remains a vital community creating a better quality of life by growing local businesses and attracting more visitors. In return, your cost of living improves. This brings more money into the city, assisting development and increasing your assets’ valuableness.
